Summer Camp Packing List (initialing items with permanent marker is recommended):

Scout Packing List:

  • Sleeping bag and/or bedding

  • Pop-up mosquito netting for sleeping bag

• Clothing

  • MANDATORY - Full Class A uniform

    • Shirt

    • Neckerchief w/ slide

    • Scout pants / shorts

  • Sneakers/hiking boots

  • Several changes of clothes, including Scout shorts and long pants, and some warm clothes for sleeping

• Merit badge schedule and any completed pre-requisites

• Camp map

• Orienteering compass

• Small knapsack/day pack/drawstring bag for daily use

• Medication/EpiPen if necessary (advise camp nurse ahead of time)

• 1/4 inch rope/clothesline (10-feet)

• Timepiece (wristwatch or otherwise)

• Hand sanitizer

• Labeled footlocker to hold the above items (link is a suggested style of footlocker).

• Camping chair

• Black trash bag(s)

• Laundry bag

• Ziploc bags (e.g. gallon size for wet clothes)

• Duct tape

• Playing cards, soccer ball, basketball, football, frisbee or the like, and/or reading material, for down time

• Fishing rod & reel/tackle (for Fishing Merit Badge; otherwise optional)

  • PLEASE: Parents NO packing for your son; NO excessive amounts of food/snacks; NO massive footlockers

PARENTS must also wear Class A uniform shirt, Troop neckerchief and slide at breakfast and dinner in the dining hall.
