Timothy Dowd Eagle Project (1988)
Timothy Dowd’s Eagle Scout Service project was to create an organ donation drive that would allow those who signed up to give their organs to hospitals after their death. He created pamphlets and distributed them at many local churches. He also set up a stand at the Manhasset Public Library to provide information. Over 150 hours of work went into this project and many donations were received.
