Aquehonga Final Details 2019

ALL SCOUTS MUST READ THIS INFORMATION, OPEN THE LINKS & ATTACHMENTS, AND PRINT WHAT THEY NEED. Excuses at camp like "I didn't know" or "no one told me" will be worthy of latrine-duty!

Here's a rundown of the final details. Scouts must be aware of the below and have with them the attached and other papers mentioned.

Camp Main #: 845-252-2023, but to reach a Scout in an emergency call one of the leaders.

Leaders: ASMs Ted Boutzalis (516-220-0712) & Mike Gawley (516-205-2640)

Merit Badge Schedule: Click here for the general AQ merit badge schedule.  Individual schedules will be emailed. Scouts registered for the Camping MB will get a letter from the Scoutmaster about Req. 9. As AQ uses an electronic advancement system, no physical blue cards will be issued.

Patrol Rosters/Tent Assignments: Scouts will operate in one Patrol, with the Patrol Leader being chosen when you all get there.  Then the Duty Roster will be established.  Each Scout can have their own tent or tent with another Scout.

Code of Conduct: All conduct will be governed by the Scout Oath and Scout Law.  We all know what this means.  No bullying of any kind, no foul, inappropriate or hurtful language, no rough housing, no inappropriate behavior, no touching anyone's personal stuff, no pranks, no secret groups/excluding, etc.  Every Scout will treat every other Scout like their brother or best buddy.  Any violation of this Code will be addressed sternly.

Departure/Return: Scouts are responsible for getting themselves to/from camp. Use the Troop roster to make your own arrangements.  But anyone who wants their footlocker transported in Mr. Boutzalis' pickup truck MUST drop it off Saturday 7/27 by 8:00 pm to his house (568 Park Avenue - just leave in driveway near truck).

Please leave for camp by 10:00 am on Sunday, 7/28 so you arrive by 1:00 pm.  It's almost a 3-hour ride. We can't check-in unless everyone is present.  BE PROMPT because we will be on a schedule for check-in procedures.  Plus, we have a limited amount of time to set up camp before certain activities.  FINISH PACKING BEFORE 7/28 so you can just hop in the car and leave on time that morning.

For pickup from camp on Saturday 8/3, please arrive by 11:00 am.

Scouts who ride as guests of others please be "courteous" by offering $5 for gas and tolls each way.
