James Brooks Eagle Project (1989)
James Brook’s Eagle Scout Service Project was to build two Community Fitness Stations at the south end of Ed Walsh Field at the Manhasset Secondary School. He and three other scouts built pull up bars and a sit up bench. The project was constructed to benefit Manhasset students and residents who use the track to exercise throughout the year. With support from the Board of Education the project was completed by April 11, 1989 after 161 hours of combined work.
