“The Good Turn will educate the boy out of the groove of selfishness.”
- Robert Baden-Powell
A Scout is "Helpful" and "Kind" and promises to "help other people at all times". Troop 71 encourages community service projects and will announce opportunities as they arise.
If you have an idea for a Community Service project for Troop 71, contact the Scoutmaster. Want to plan a service project? Click here to learn how.
To have your project information circulated to the Troop, email the flyer and permission slip in PDF format to the Scoutmaster.
UPCOMING COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY:
The Manhasset Association of Girl Scouts will be receiving a massive cookie delivery on Saturday, February 6th and need some "Scoutpower" to help offload the cases of cookies and load up cars as they come through the drive-thru pickup.
The truck will be arriving at the Congregational Church parking lot at 8 a.m. and the last pickup is 11 a.m.
As Scouts have done a tremendous job in past years, they would be most appreciate of any help we could provide this year.
Scouts willing to assist should please contact Sue Cannatella via email at email@example.com.
