Yawgoog has traditionally been the principal summer camp of Troop 71. We always stay in camp Three Point ("Point... Point... let's hear it for the Point!"), in camp site Scott ("Great Scott!"), and always the first week of camp.
Here's the link to the Yawgoog website: http://yawgoog.org/index.html. The required health form is attached. Further information about the form is available on the Yawgoog website at http://yawgoog.org/scouting/leaders/link4.html.
There is YAWGOOG OPEN HOUSE given by the Yawgoog Camp leadership and staff at the American Legion Hall in BETHPAGE, NY on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. NO Registration is required for this event. There are also two Open House dates up at the camp on May 15 or 16 and Registration IS required for those. While the Bethpage event is not necessary, a new scout parent could find it informative. Details on the event, which are confusing, are contained on this link http://www.yawgoog.com/scouting/parents/link5.html .
Also, to help you in your planning for camp, see the following additional attachments below:
- Yawgoog Camp Planning Chart (to help plan the boy's week) (NEW)
- Yawgoog Adult Leader Training Schedule (NEW) Key: "SMS" = Scoutmaster Specific, "OLS" = Outdoor Leadership Skills, YPT = Youth Protection Training - you want to do all three courses.
