WHY GO CAMPING?

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. What better place to instill those values and lessons then camping in the great outdoors.

 Camping provides that unique venue to teach, interact and have fun in ways that many boys never get to experience. Whether you’re perspective is cub scouts, boy scouts or venturing. “Camping” offers youth and adult alike the opportunity to learn and grow. It’s completely hands-on and active. Camping gives everyone a chance to learn by doing and at a pace that is commensurate with the individual or group.

 To this end, Shelter Rock District offers you the opportunity to bring your Scouts to camp and enjoy a fun and outstanding program brought to you by our Activities committee.

 This is also a perfect time to camp with your new Scouts. Schiff is very camp friendly and they will have a great time with the program.
